Japanese Menus and gameplay are in Japanese. SD Gundam G Generation is a series of strategy-RPG video games that focus on the Gundam anime franchise. HISTORY: The G Generation series technically began in 1996, when Bandai released a series of six games for Nintendo's Super Famicom console's Sufami Turbo add-on, each focusing on a particular era from the Gundam multiverse.
A Generation focused on the One Year War, B Generation focused on the Gryps Conflict, and so forth up to F Generation, which covered the plot of G Gundam. Instead of continuing the obvious progression and making a G Generation game themed about Gundam Wing, Bandai held on to the title. Since 'G' was often used as an abbreviation for 'Gundam', it was decided that G Generation would encompass a wider scope. When it was finally released in 1998 for the PlayStation, G Generation covered the plot for Mobile Suit Gundam through Char's Counterattack and featured characters from the remaining Universal Century series as well as G Gundam, Gundam Wing and Gundam X.
SD Gundam G Generation for PlayStation One covers events of Mobile Suit Gundam through Char's Counterattack with characters and mecha from later series as bonuses. There are a total of 42 stages in the game's Situation Mode which highlights certain key events in the Gundam universe from the year U.C. STORY: It is the year U.C. The Zion Dukedom on Side 3 declares war against the Earth Federation.
Using their newly developed Zaku II Mobile Suits, they were able to overpower the Federation forces. They even pumped poisonous gases into several colonies, killing all its inhabitants, and then dropping these colonies on Earth. Unable to tolerate such an act, General Revil leads a fleet of Federation ships into space to confront the Zions. This battle is known as the 'Battle of Rum'. SD Gundam G Generation-F.I.F is an expansion disc for G Generation-F which includes difficult bonus missions, a complete unit encyclopedia, and the ability to freely alter the player's cast of original characters. Story Translation Progress 2nd pass for all stages done. Obtain.ISO of G Gen Overworld. Make sure it is an OVERWORLD.ISO, NOT a G Gen WORLD.ISO. Download the Patch files and XDelta from this link: 3.
Open XdeltaUI, and open the patch you want to apply. For the source, select your original Overworld ISO.
Set an output location, and press 'Patch'. The output file will be the name of the patched ISO. High Quality Textures for PPSSPP 1.3+: 1. Unpack the contents of 'NPJH50681.zip' into the 'PPSSPP dir memstick PSP Textures ' directory, if the 'Textures' directory doesn't exist, you need to create it manually. Make sure texture replacing is enabled in PPSSPP (should be on by default).
It is in Settings-Tools-Developer Tools-Replace Textures NOTE: PPSSPP savestates are incompatible between non-patched and patched versions. Use normal, in-game saves at the strategy layer before patching. Script changes WILL break saves made in the middle of a level and boot you back to the strategy layer.. FAQQ: Is all the text in the game in English?
A: No, there’s a huge in-game database full of facts about mobile suits, ships, and characters that hasn’t been translated, because it’s simply too huge for one translator and editor to handle it. All the other text you’re likely to encounter has been translated into English though.
Q: Why should I play this when G Gen Genesis exists? A: This is the only G Generation game that’s in English and has material from the Alternate Universe shows like Wing, G Gundam, SEED, and 00, plus Gundam F91, Crossbone Gundam, and Victory Gundam. G Gen Genesis only features Universal Century units up to Hathaway’s Flash, with the exception of a DLC unit or two and the G Gen original units. Q: Are there any bugs we’re likely to see? A: There are probably going to be typos, because the project has essentially been running with one editor working on dozens of files for 90+% of its length. There is also a persistent display error caused by PPSSPP removing Sony’s PSP font from its files – Turn A Gundam’s name in game will appear as “ Gundam.” To fix this, download and install it in ppsspp flash0 font.
Q: How come some things look way nicer with the various graphics patches, and others don’t? A: The graphics patches pulled assets from console versions of prior games, which were made to a higher quality standard than anything that’s exclusive to Overworld. Since Overworld is a PSP game, lots of graphical sacrifices were made to make sure the game fit onto a UMD. Q: How do I get custom background music to work? A: For PSP users, follow this guide: For PPSSPP users, try creating a /MUSIC/ folder inside the memstick directory, then create an OVERWORLD folder inside the music folder, before using the in-game Custom BGM function. Also, try using ID3KILL to remove tags, since the game doesn’t seem to like them. Q: I’m a PSP/Vita player and I can’t get the HQ Texture Pack to work!
What’s wrong? A: It’s a PPSSPP only feature and you’re on a PSP or Vita. Q: The game is crashing after attempting to load system data?
A: Update to a newer CFW firmware. Pro 6.60 is confirmed working. Q: My Mid-Battle saves aren't working after patching? A: Unfortunately this a byproduct of the patch itself and how the saves work.
We recommend you finish any stage you're on prior to using the patched copy of the game. Q: Help, I'm playing the Vita and it won't work! A: If you're using the Vita you'll need to use ARK Firmware for the internal PSP rather than Adrenaline. Update: Apparently, Adrenaline can play now.

While I've been trying to hack Tales of Rebirth me and a friend of mine have been working on a menu translation of Wars. We've found just about everything now, but are currently stuck on these stupid txd files that this game uses. The tools I've found are only able to extract the images, not reinsert them.
(lots of graphics in this game needs to be translated) Here are some wip screenshots from the translation so far: PS: I'm still trying to translate Tales of Rebirth (PSP), but I'm a little stuck on the compression algorithm used. So if anyone want to help with the compression in ToR or the txd files in Wars it will be much appreciated. I don't know if it will work for what you need but here are some things I have found that might work for the image problem. It says it can save to and from raw ps2 image files and bmp, jpg etc. For putting files into the Iso, Probably not what you need but included just in case. A tutorial that isn't directly relevant but includes overwriting a file in an iso and links to the programs they used for it.
Also inlcuded just in case. I don't have experience with either of these programs, Just passing along what I found from some internet searching. Hope it goes well. Ok, I figured that you were able to write to the iso, just included it in case. I don't know about ps2 hacking/translation so I didn't know what extension you needed. Here are some TXD related things I have found that might help.
Sd Gundam G Generation Seed
claims to make a txd file with ' works with 8bit & 24bit.bmp bitmaps and 24bit JPEG images' - Most of the txd editing software seems to be aimed at the GTA series. Sorority spy 2. I don't know if it would work for this, but it might be worth a try. another txd builder aimed at the GTA series. Hope this helps more than it annoys. This program reads MOST txd files and allows importing and exporting of images.
'TXD PowerTool v1.03' or try this tool 'Swapper' I hope you will check this post soon so you can finish translating the game. I'm really waiting for the translation patch to be released.
